Artist Lindsay Peyton explores place, passage of time, nostalgia and memory in her work. She started studying oil painting as a teenager and fell immediately, deeply in love with the medium. More recently, she has become interested in the liminal space between 2D and 3D art, as well as installation.

Peyton earned her Master of Fine Arts in painting from Central Washington University and her Bachelor of Journalism in Photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has studied art at the Woodstock School of Art in New York, Gage Academy in Seattle, Lone Star College and Houston Community College.

Peyton has taught students of all ages, enjoys curating both independently and in collaboration with galleries and is an ardent supporter of the arts. She has completed residencies in Kentucky, Nebraska and Washington. She continues to exhibit regularly.

Studio visits in New York are available by appointment.
